Armed Forces

Our Armed Forces Families, Reserves and Veterans are very important to us at Savvy and we aim to do our very best to offer support and information in the ways that we can.

To demonstrate our commitment to this we have signed the Corporate Covenant and have our application in process for Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.

How can we offer help and support?

Our business is adult education and training, focusing on carers , both paid and unpaid and individuals who require care and support in their daily lives. Having been in all of these roles at sometime in their lives , our team has built up knowledge, experience and skills to help with navigating the challenges and frustrations that this can bring.

We might not have all of the answers but would like to think we can direct you to helpful people and places, or try to work with you to find them. Sometimes we can just listen if you need a friendly ear, you wouldn’t be the first and you wont be the last but you will be important.

We provide e-learning and face to face training in care, from awareness level to L5 Diplomas, as well as First Aid,and teaching/assessing qualifications. Perhaps you are considering using your current knowledge, skills and experience with the next generation and moving into a career in adult education? If you would like a no strings chat about possible career options, please email and we will get back to you.

With the support of our friends at Expadigital, we are dedicating a website page to share support information, good news and celebrate events such as Armed Forces Day.

If you have news, information or businesses that support and promote the Armed Forces Family and would like to be included on this page, please email us with your thoughts, it would be amazing to hear from you.

What is the Armed Forces Covenant?

The Armed Forces Covenant

An Enduring Covenant Between

The People of the United Kingdom

Her Majesty’s Government

– and –

All those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces of the Crown And their Families

Our Armed Forces fulfil that responsibility on behalf of the Government, sacrificing some civilian freedoms, facing danger and, sometimes, suffering serious injury or death as a result of their duty. Families also play a vital role in supporting the operational effectiveness of our Armed Forces. In return, the whole nation has a moral obligation to the members of the Naval Service, the Army and the Royal Air Force, together with their families. They deserve our respect and support, and fair treatment.

Those who serve in the Armed Forces, whether regular or Reserve, those who have served in the past, and their families, should face no disadvantage compared to other citizens in the provision of public and commercial services. Special consideration is appropriate in some cases, especially for those who have given most such as the injured and the bereaved.

This obligation involves the whole of society: it includes voluntary and charitable bodies, private organisations, and the actions of individuals in supporting the Armed Forces. Recognising those who have performed military duty unites the country and demonstrates the value of their contribution. This has no greater expression than in upholding this Covenant.
